Discipleship Training School

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Matt 28:19

Discipleship Training School or (DTS) is a 12-16 week missionary training course designed to help make you a true disciple. The first part of the DTS, called the lecture phase, is based on our Nelson campus with weekly lectures on a range of subjects such as, how to hear God’s voice, how to pray and intercede and how to reach others for Christ. See below for more information on the curriculum.

The second part of the course is called the outreach phase and we head out to an overseas location to put into practice what we’ve learned on the lecture phase. Each school’s outreach phase is unique but you could find yourself in Manila helping a local church serve meals to the homeless or in Rio de Janeiro playing soccer with kids in an orphanage. The goal is simply to share the love of God with people who may have never experienced it.

We really live by the ethos that it’s important to know God but it’s also important to make Him known, and that is the ultimate goal of a DTS. It’s an experience you’ll remember for the rest of your life and sets a great foundation for your Christian journey going forward.
