Coronavirus update from YWAM Nelson New Zealand
Updated 14 April 2021
Greetings in Jesus’ Name!
Currently, there are no COVID-19 cases here in the city of Nelson. New Zealand has tight border restrictions and managed isolation requirements for international travel which has kept the country free of Covid. As of 19 April 2021, quarantine-free travel from Australia to New Zealand for Australian and New Zealand citizens will be permitted. Travel from Niue and the Cook Islands is also permitted after 19 April 2021. You can check the border entry requirements here.
All of New Zealand is at Alert Level 1. While it is not mandatory to wear a mask on public transport during Alert Level 1, it is encouraged. Under Alert Level 1, all of New Zealand are advised to continue to do the following:
1. Sign into places, using the NZ COVID Tracer app or keep a record.
2. Maintain good hygiene practices.
3. Stay at home if you’re unwell and get a test.

The leadership of YWAM Nelson are continuing to monitor the situation on a regular basis. Our YWAM community are kept informed of all developments and recommendations from government and relevant authorities and Level 1 recommendations are implemented at the campus.
Applications to our Presence Crossroads DTS and Building Discipleship Course are now open. Accepted overseas applications will be subject to border restrictions and quarantine requirements.
We will continue to monitor global conditions over the coming months which may affect the above.
We have a real sense of God using the current situation as a preparation for the outpouring of His amazing presence over our campus, our city and the whole of Nelson-Tasman region and beyond.
